SEMMES, Ala. (WKRG) — The Semmes Senior Center received a big upgrade to its outdoor recreational features.
According to a Mobile County news release, a ribbon-cutting was held for the walking and fitness trail expansion, a larger fitness equipment station, shuffleboard and pickleball courts.
The trail was extended by one mile and is ADA-accessible, according to the release.
Mobile County District 2 Commissioner Connie Hudson said, "This facility has become a community hub for wellness and social connection. By expanding outdoor options, we’re helping residents stay active and engaged close to home."
