The Mummy fans are really looking forward to Brendan Fraser returning to the franchise for a potential fourth film.
On Tuesday, November 4, Variety revealed that Fraser, 56, and costar Rachel Weisz are in talks to possibly reunite for the movie. The fourth The Mummy will be directed by filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who are best known for reviving the Scream franchise in 2022.
While Fraser and Weisz, 55, have yet to break their silence on the news, fans of the beloved franchise have taken to social media to share their excitement.
“I cannot tell you how much this means,” one user wrote via X. “This is like your divorced parents getting back together and it being just as good as you remember. Oh my god.”
