LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - A man has been arrested in connection to a fatal shooting in the Beechmont neighborhood on Saturday.

Officers responded to a call at around 9:20 p.m. of a shooting in the 300 block of West Kingston Avenue on Saturday, Nov. 1.

At the scene, police found an adult male outside the address who had been shot.

Officers began first aid until EMS arrived at the scene and transported the victim to UofL Hospital, where the victim was eventually declared dead.

On Wednesday, LMPD announced the arrest of 23-year-old Josiah Ricketts. He’s charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and tampering with physical evidence in connection to the shooting.
