JACKSONVILLE – He's here and he's ready.
And while whether Jakobi Meyers can be fully ready by Sunday is unknown, the Jaguars' newest wide receiver made this much certain Wednesday:
He will work to be prepared quickly.
"I'm 100% happy about this opportunity to be here," he said.
Meyers, acquired in a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders Tuesday for a fourth- and a sixth-round selection in the 2026 NFL Draft , spoke to the media Wednesday after his first Jaguars practice. Head Coach Liam Coen earlier Wednesday praised Meyers' "tough, strong hands," his ability to separate from defensive backs and his professional approach.
"I've only heard great things," Coen said as the Jaguars (5-3) prepared to play the Houston Texans (3-5) at NRG Stadium in Houston Sunday .
