(KRON) -- A 56-year-old Pleasanton woman was killed after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday evening, the Pleasanton Police Department said.
The victim was identified as Rowena P. Coronel, according to the Alameda County Coroner's Office.
The crash happened around 6:41 p.m. at the downtown intersection of Main and Neal streets. PPD officers, Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews and paramedics responded to assist in bringing the victim to the hospital where she later died.
Police said the driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Drugs and/or alcohol "does not appear to be a factor in this collision," PPD said.
