SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - We’re just days away from a notable anniversary here in the Midwest: the 50th commemoration of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Right now, you can visit The History Museum in South Bend to check out a new exhibit called “ Freshwater Fury: Great Lakes Shipwrecks .”

The exhibit showcases more than just the Fitzgerald. You can learn about more than 20 other wrecks from across the region, along with Indiana’s surprising history of underwater investigation.
