LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
A man has been charged with murder in connection to a deadly shooting in the Beechmonth neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police Department arrested 23-year-old Josiah Ricketts on Wednesday. He is charged with murder, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and tampering with physical evidence.
Ricketts is charged in connection to a shooting that happened on Nov. 1 in the 300 block of Kingston Avenue.
Police arrived and found another man who had been shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he died.
Officials have not released the identity of the victim.
According to an arrest slip, Ricketts invited the victim over to his apartment to give him marijuana. Police said surveillance video showed Ricketts running out of the building and driving away.
