BALLSTON SPA — Heading into Wednesday’s semifinals, the Galway girls’ volleyball team had appeared in a sectional final in eight of the last 11 years.

The top-seeded Golden Eagles made it nine in 12 years with a 3-0 victory over fourth-seeded Maple Hill by scores 25-17, 25-16, 25-18 in a Section 2 Class C semifinal contest at Ballston Spa High School.
