The nation’s top court announced in September it would hear the case, which consolidates challenges by several American businesses and Democrat-leaning states to the far-reaching import duties.
The nine-member panel grilled U.S. Solicitor General D. John Sauer, who argued the case on behalf of the Trump administration, as well as two lawyers representing the plaintiffs.
