FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) — With SNAP on hold and high costs at the grocery store, Catholic Charities of Fresno is seeing even more families in need.
Development Director Mackenzie Villalobos says the need is growing faster than ever with reduced benefits.
"It's a beehive around here. There's a buzz and there's a lot of people watching our line go from on the front porch to extending beyond the front porch along the sidewalks," Villalobos said.
Throughout November, Catholic Charities does its part, from food distributions (starting Nov. 10) to the Turkey Drive (on Nov. 25).
Villalobos says the organization prepares for uncertain moments like these.
"We have food. We're not going to run out of food. And we'll continue to serve here at the pantry Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 3:45," V
