WILLIAMSBURG — Whitley County will hit the road Thursday night to open the Class 4A playoffs, but the challenge ahead is as steep as any team in the state could face. The Colonels will travel to Danville to take on No. 1 ranked Boyle County, a program recognized as one of the premier forces in Kentucky high school football.

Whitley County enters the postseason at 1-9 with a .40340 RPI, while Boyle County carries a 9-1 record and the highest RPI in Class 4A at .78711.
