SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The government shutdown is affecting air travel across the United States. San Angelo air traffic controllers are not currently being affected, but San Angelo's regional airport TSA workers are working without pay.

"Our air traffic control tower operates off of the FAA contract tower program, and so that's a different source of funding for our tower," said Justin Fletcher, San Angelo Regional Airport Director. "So, we're not experiencing what the other FAA towers across the country are experiencing right now."

He continued that although some parts of the airport are still receiving pay, TSA officers are not being paid.
