PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - The Peoria Area Association of Realtors have released their third quarter numbers, and things are looking bright for homebuyers.

The River City’s market has more homes available than this time last year. Even compared to the second quarter of 2025, there are over 120 more homes on the market.

In a release from PAAR, President Leslie Rothan said these figures indicate the market is shifting toward stability.

Home sales were down by about 2.5% from last year, with the price of homes sold rising by a little more than 4%, at an average price of around $208,000. This year’s third quarter came to a close with 1,543 homes sold.

Rothan also added that autumn is a good time to sell a home, given demand and falling interest rates.
