After enjoying a stretch of sunny, mild weather this week, the Baltimore area is expected to see strong winds as a cold front moves through late Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service .

The NWS issued a Special Weather Statement that predicts a cold front in the area Wednesday evening will bring high winds, possibly reaching 40 to 50 mph, and potential storminess. These winds will be strong enough to move light objects and cause tree damage, as well as potential power outages and difficult driving conditions.
