The St. Amant volleyball team likes to call themselves the "comeback queens."
The Gators never trailed in their Division I bidistrict playoff match against Parkway, but 13th-seeded St. Amant still had to stave off two late comeback attempts in the first and third sets to close out the 3-0 win.
"We want to have that unnecessary added pressure sometimes," Gators coach Lucie Hunt said. "Sometimes I think we try to force some things. But they come together as a team, and they love each other, and they push each other."
St. Amant (28-13) defeated No. 20 Parkway 3-0 on Wednesday evening at St. Amant. The Gators won 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.
Hunt said the team getting a home playoff game was huge for the team. She said there were aspects her team could improve upon, but was happy to get the playof
