BEML Ltd reported a modest decline in earnings for the July–September quarter of FY26, with net profit falling 6% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹48 crore compared with ₹51 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations declined 2.4% YoY to ₹839 crore from ₹860 crore, while EBITDA remained flat at ₹73 crore.

The company’s operating margin, however, showed slight improvement at 8.7% versus 8.5% a year ago, indicating stable cost management.

This marks a notable turnaround from the June quarter of FY26 , when BEML had reported a net loss of ₹64 crore — marginally higher than the CNBC-TV18 poll estimate of ₹58 crore.

In the same quarter last year, the PSU had reported a net loss of ₹70.5 crore.
