Gloucester City Council has today (Thursday, November 6) officially published its Greater Gloucester/wider Gloucestershire proposal for local government reorganisation .

It describes it as marking a major milestone in the discussion about re-shaping the future of public services and democratic representation across the county.

The proposal sets out a vision for the creation of two brand new, highly complementary, modern unitary councils – which will deliver clear, specific benefits for people living and working in all parts of the county.
