A big part of Larry’s current community involvement lies with the Bremer County Conservation Board as the chair. He has been with the board for “almost five years.”

Currently, Larry has been going around the county and speaking to groups about the board, while also fundraising. He said that they are up to $80,000.

The board is currently aiming for $200,000 to build a cabin in Cedar Bend Park in Waverly. The cabin will have two bedrooms and an additional big space for events. Larry said that the cabin project has been in the works for four years but hopes that next year it will get built.
