Idaho drivers learn to anticipate rough winter driving conditions.
But for new drivers, or those that don’t have much experience in the snow, it can be difficult knowing exactly HOW to drive in the winter.
“Snow and ice changes everything,” says Sky Buffat, public information officer for the Idaho Transportation Department. “The way that you drive and the things to expect are just completely changed as a result of winter.”
That’s why the Idaho Transportation Department brought their winter driving classes to southeastern Idaho.
The classes originally started in northern Idaho, but after seeing the positive response and popularity of them, ITD decided to bring them to other parts of the state.
