HANALEI, Hawaii (Island News) – Beachgoers are advised not to swim at Hanalei Bay after a shark was spotted on Tuesday morning.
Kauai Ocean Safety Bureau (OSB) officials reported that a 10-foot tiger shark was seen in Hanalei Bay at approximately 11:30 a.m.
No injuries or attacks have been reported at this time.
OSB posted warning signs and will continue to monitor the area.
Lifeguards will reassess the area later in the evening. If there are no other sightings, the beach will reopen to ocean activities on Wednesday.
