Mt Pleasant residents have been invited to check out a $4.2 million upgrade of Ogilvie Road and support local businesses.
The streetscape upgrade of the northern part of Ogilvie Road includes new trees and landscaped verges, improved public seating areas, widened footpaths and improved pedestrian accessibility.
Two proposed concept designs were presented to the public, who were asked to vote on their preferred design.
To celebrate the upgrade and the completion of the works which began at the start of 2025, the City of Melville held a “Taste of Ogilvie” event on Saturday, October 25.
It included food from local businesses, live music and family activities such as a scavenger hunt.
Mayor Katy Mair said she was very pleased the works had been completed.
