As the NCHSAA and NCISAA football playoffs arrive, it's time for postseason bulletin-board material.

This week's slate consists of five Fayetteville-area playoff games, with No. 17 South View at No. 16 Harnett Central as the 910Preps Game of the Week.

As eight of the 10 Fayetteville-area high school football teams prepare to take the stage for the 6A and 7A playoffs, it's time to spotlight local first-round matchups in the 2025 playoffs. Six will compete in the 6A East bracket.

Cape Fear earns the highest Fayetteville seed at No. 5 in the 7A East, as Seventy-First earns the highest 6A seed in the area at No. 7 in the East, both earning byes in the opening round. No. 8 Jack Britt earned a bye in the 7A West.
