EVANSVILLE ― Zac Nero had to take a step back and view the bigger picture.

The first-year head coach at North High School understands what makes him go. He can be passionate, energetic and highly competitive, which are all positive qualities in leading a football program.

There were also moments this fall where Nero could feel his own internal pressure building. He knew it wasn’t sustainable. He needed to find an even path.
