It’s sadly no longer surprising to find an abandoned animal on the street, especially for people who have made it their mission to save lives.

One of those people is Christina, a compassionate ER nurse from Texas. Saving lives is second nature to her, but one particular week stood out as truly extraordinary.

It began when she moved a lost fawn to safety after it had become separated from its mother. Just a few days later, she rescued a tiny kitten and brought it home.

Then, one afternoon, she spotted a small figure lying motionless by the roadside. Without hesitation, she pulled over. What she found broke her heart.
