Poonch, Nov 6: In a major crackdown on cybercrime proceeds, Poonch Police have attached property worth ₹8.5 lakh linked to an online fraud racket involving Telegram and Dream11 platforms.

The action was taken by Police Station Surankote under Section 107 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) during the investigation of FIR No. 71/2025, registered under relevant sections of the BNS and IT Act.

Investigations revealed that the accused, Sajid Khan, son of Mohd Sadiq of Drogain, Surankote, had purchased a Maruti Suzuki Brezza (JK02CQ-2851) using money obtained through cheating and impersonation on Telegram and Dream11.
