As the days grow shorter and the fall chill sets in, Niagara’s stages are warming up.
With literary conversations, live choirs, musical theatre, comedy and community celebrations, it’s shaping up to be a busy and engaging weekend for people looking to enjoy some local culture.
‘School of Rock’
Garden City Productions, through a special arrangement with Concord Theatricals, presents “School of Rock: The Musical,” a two-hour, two-act show based on the hit movie.
With new music by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the musical follows Dewey Finn, a failed wannabe rock star who decides to earn extra money by posing as a substitute teacher. He turns the class of straight-A students into a rock band, with the goal of entering a battle of the bands.
