Former Davis Cup tennis player Nitten Kirrtane created sporting history by winning two gold medals for India at the Pickleball World Cup 2025 held in Florida, USA, from October 26 to November 3.
Representing India among 68 countries, Pune -based Kirrtane clinched gold in both the 50+ Men’s Singles and 50+ Men’s Doubles categories, partnering with Suryaveer Bhullar, president of the Pickleball Association of India.
“Life has come a full circle for me,” said Kirrtane after returning home.
“Florida has always been lucky — it’s where I won my first Tennis World Championship medal in 2018, and now to win the Pickleball World Cup here makes it truly special and fulfilling.” He won a silver medal in the mixed doubles 40-plus category at the 2018 World Tennis Champions
