Sagar KSRTC depot security staffer dies of heart attack on duty

SHIVAMOGGA: A security staff member of the KSRTC Depot in Sagar died of a heart attack while on duty. The deceased has been identified as Sandeep (41), a resident of Sagar.

He was on night shift on Wednesday and suddenly complained of chest pain. His colleagues immediately took him to the hospital in a bus, but he had already passed away.

Chandru, a colleague who took Sandeep to the hospital, said, “I work as a driver-cum-conductor. When I came to drop the bus at the depot, Sandeep didn’t come out even after I honked at the gate. He used to check the bus and then allow it to enter. Since he didn’t come out for a long time, I went to his room and found him collapsed. We immediately took him to the hospital in our bus, but the doctors said he had already passed away.”
