Former India cricketer Aakash Chopra has raised serious concerns over the Indian team management’s handling of Sanju Samson, questioning head coach Gautam Gambhir’s approach after the wicketkeeper-batter was once again left out of the playing XI in the ongoing T20I series against Australia.
Samson, who batted only once in the series — promoted to No. 3 in that match — has now been replaced by Jitesh Sharma in the middle order for the third and fourth T20Is. The repeated omissions have puzzled Chopra, who fears Jitesh might also face the same uncertainty in the near future.
