As Bihar votes in the first phase of Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday sharpened his attack on the opposition alliance, accusing it of keeping a “soft corner” for infiltrators.

Modi addressed a rally in Araria, where he also questioned the INDIA bloc leaders’ reluctance to visit Ayodhya.

"Whenever the RJD-Congress achieve power, they try to give back-door entry to infiltrators. They do so because of vote bank politics,” he said.

The prime minister alleged that the opposition’s attitude had taken a toll on the people of the country as the infiltrators started claiming a share in all that belonged to the citizens.
