BEREA — The Browns could've looked a whole lot different when they came back to work Nov. 5 after a day off.
Cleveland's roster had several players who were prominently mentioned as possible trade candidates. However, the Nov. 4 deadline came and went with the Browns only making one deal : Defensive end Joe Tryon-Shoyinka and a 2026 seventh-round pick went to the Chicago Bears for a 2026 sixth-round pick.
For a team sitting at 2-6 after its bye week, it was a remarkable show of confidence from the front office toward the roster as it's currently constructed. At least, that's how the Browns players are taking the relatively quiet deadline.
