HOUSTON — Houston’s professional volleyball team is expanding its home court footprint to northwest Harris County.
LOVB Houston, entering its second season in January, will play five home matches at the Berry Center in Cypress, a Cy-Fair ISD facility, KHOU 11’s Jason Bristol has learned. The team will also play four matches at the Fort Bend County Epicenter, southwest of Houston, which hosted its inaugural season.
Ticket information for the Berry Center matches has not yet been released.
The move is likely designed to reach the volleyball community in the suburbs.
“There are some of the biggest clubs in the Houston area in both Cypress and Katy,” noted KHOU11’s Mia Gradney, who’s very familiar with the club scene. “It’s a very smart move.”
