Motorists in two leafy areas of Stockport have been left baffled and feeling scared to go out after several cars were repeatedly damaged. Residents in the Heatons began reporting that their cars parked outside their homes had been badly scratched last October.

The Manchester Evening News has spoken to three people whose vehicles have each been vandalised on numerous occasions.

However after speaking to others via social media and comparing reports they have say there have been at least 16 similar incidents in Heaton Chape l and Heaton Mersey over the last year.

They believe they are likely linked and that it may be the same perpetrator responsible for all of them.
