A 37-year-old woman was killed Wednesday in a hit-and-run crash while she was walking on the shoulder of a Selden road, Suffolk police said.
The pedestrian, Victoria Hutson of Selden, was hit when she was walking on the northbound shoulder in front of a Boyle Road residence. Police said she was struck by a black four-door sedan that went north on Boyle Road at 11:21 a.m.
Hutson was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
