■ St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church has begun offering a monthly Compline service.

Compline, also known as Night Prayer, is the last of the four services in the Daily Office. It emphasizes quiet reflection to foster a contemplative spirit.

The service is chanted in the candlelit church. It begins and ends in silence and lasts about 30 minutes. It follows the order laid out in the Book of Common Prayer

Services are at 8 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month through April. The next service is Nov. 13 at 871 E. Boundary St., Perrysburg.
