U-M researchers want to cut how much time you spend at traffic lights

Sometimes you sit in your car at a traffic light, waiting for the light to turn green, and you wait, and you keep waiting.

And you wait some more, even when the traffic passing in front of you doesn’t appear to warrant such a delay.

But in Oakland County, a project underway with University of Michigan researchers has traffic experts hopeful your excessive wait might one day be a relic of the past.
