Mumbai: Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has ordered an investigation into alleged irregularities in a land deal involving Parth Pawar, the son of Deputy CM and NCP leader Ajit Pawar. Fadnavis Thursday called the matter as being prima facie a ‘serious one’.

The case involves purchase of a land parcel in Pune’s Mundhwa by Amadea Enterprises LLP, a firm in which Parth is one of the two directors.

Amadea allegedly purchased the land for Rs 300 crore, as against its estimated value at Rs 1,804 crore, activist Anjali Damania alleged on X; though the land registration document Damania shared mentions the market price of the land parcel as Rs 294.65 crore. Show Full Article

According to the original valuation, the stamp duty payable was Rs 21 crore, but was waived off ahead of the purchase.
