A young mother with a chronic condition has spoken out about her fears that sick notes could be axed, saying that they helped her stay employed.
Ellie Sands, from Bedfordshire, says she was let go from her job in hospitality once her sick note expired, and believes her contract would have been terminated earlier without the protection it provided.
The 23-year-old believes plans to scrap them could backfire on the Government and result in more people with chronic illnesses ending up out of work.
