LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - On November 6, 2018, Michigan voters approved Proposal 1, legalizing the recreational use of marijuana.
The measure allowed adults aged 21 and older to use cannabis without a doctor’s prescription.
With its passage, Michigan became the first Midwestern state to legalize recreational marijuana, marking a major shift in state policy and paving the way for new regulations, new revenue, and a new industry.
