DETROIT — The White Stripes will be played into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by another Midwestern rock duo, it was announced Oct. 30.
Twenty One Pilots, who hail from Columbus, Ohio, will perform “Seven Nation Army” as part of the White Stripes’ induction, the band revealed on social media.
“Meg and jack, thanks for having us be a part of your induction to the rock and roll hall of fame,” the duo’s Tyler Joseph wrote on X. “No group more deserving than the freaking white stripes.. josh and I are working on seven nation army now, and hope to give it every bit of justice it deserves.”
The band signed off the post with “nov8,” the date of the Rock Hall ceremony.
