Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Gujarat chief Isudan Gadhvi met the family members of a farmer, who allegedly died by suicide due to debt pressure and crop failure, at Revat in Una taluka of Gir-Somnath on Thursday. On the occasion, Gadhvi announced an assistance of Rs 51,000 from his Prarthana Foundation to the family. A community leader named Munnabhai also offered Rs 1 lakh assistance to the family.
Speaking to the media, Gadhvi urged the state government to announce a policy to prevent farmer suicides.
