Maury Povich is opening up about a personal chapter of his life with wife Connie Chung .

Indeed, the television personality reflected on how he and the legendary journalist navigated their fertility journey, which eventually led to them adopting their son Matthew Jay Povich .

"We tried to get pregnant," Maury explained on the Nov. 2 episode of Bunny XO 's Dumb Blonde podcast. “This is over 30 years ago. Connie had to take time off from CBS, and it became a big story that we were trying to get pregnant."

With both Maury and Connie — who tied the knot in 1984 — being public figures, their experience became a hot topic.
