Pittsburgh will once again kick off the holiday season with fireworks, festivities and plenty of tree lighting ceremonies.
The Downtown Pittsburgh Partnership on Thursday announced plans for the 64th annual Light Up Night, which is scheduled for Nov. 22, the Saturday before Thanksgiving.
The holiday season will officially kick off in Downtown Pittsburgh the day before, Nov. 21, when the Holiday Market opens at 11 a.m. Because of construction in Market Square , the chalets are moving to Seventh Street and Penn Avenue in the Cultural District.
Light Up Night is scheduled to kick off at 4 p.m. There will be two stages with live music, food vendors and, of course, an appearance from Santa.
