Jabalpur, Nov 6 (PTI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court's division bench has imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on Shahdol Collector Kedar Singh in connection with wrongful action taken under the National Security Act (NSA).

While ordering him to be present at the next hearing, the HC also issued a contempt notice to Singh and said he would have to pay the fine from his own pocket. The division bench ordered the amount to be deposited in the account of the petitioner's son.

The HC also ordered the state chief secretary to take action against the collector and additional chief secretary.
