EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Evansville Police are investigating a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash that happened on Wednesday night.

Police say they were called to the area of Jeanette Avenue and Fickas Road around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an intoxicated person.

Shortly before officers arrived, they say there was a second call describing the same man lying in the street.

When officers arrived at the scene, they say they determined the man had been by a vehicle.

Police say the victim was taken to the hospital and that an investigation into the incident is ongoing.
