The Government Science and Engineering ( GSE ) Profession is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 Royal Society Pairing Scheme — a flagship initiative that continues to strengthen the connection between science and policy.

Now in its 22nd year, the scheme represents a long-standing and successful collaboration between the GSE Profession and The Royal Society. Together, we have supported hundreds of civil servants and researchers to build mutual understanding, foster evidence-informed policymaking, and promote the value of scientific engagement across government.
