FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Northwest Arkansas Food Bank donated 21,000 pounds of pet food to the NWA Animal Alliance, supporting pets and families in need.

Amidst the longest government shutdown in history and the recent loss of SNAP benefits, households are at risk of being unable to afford their pets.

The NWA Animal Alliance is a network of 12 local animal shelters and rescues working to support families and reduce shelter intake across the region.
