Agartala, 6 th November 2025: A 35-year-old assistant electricity worker, Ishak Hau Mulsum, tragically died of electrocution this afternoon while working near Dhanpur market in Tripura. Mulsum, a resident of Killa in Udaipur subdivision, was employed at the Dhanpur Electricity Investigation Centre under the Kathalia sub-station.

The incident took place when Mulsum attempted to shut down a high-voltage transformer on the ST line during routine maintenance with colleagues. He was critically injured on the spot and succumbed before fire service teams from Kathalia and Sonamura could arrive. He was later declared dead at Dhanpur Primary Health Centre.
