The Chancellor is expected to announce a range of measures in the upcoming Autumn Budget on November 26 that could include changes for millions of people on benefits, along with a shake-up of the Motability scheme.

While Rachel Reeves has declined to make any definitive pre-budget declarations, she is set to confirm the next set of payment rises for benefits including Personal Independence Payment, Universal Credit and the State Pension.

Also expected is a revamp of the Motability scheme , which offers vehicles to people on high-rate disability benefits, amid criticism sparked by social media posts in which claimants are bragging about exploiting the system to obtain a luxury car.
