In a society where women often rely on support to move forward, meet Asha Tigga - a woman who defies all odds. Despite life’s challenges, she steps onto the streets of Rourkela every day, holding her five-month-old baby in her arms, to fulfill her duty as a Home Guard.

Asha, serving as a Home Guard, hails from the Sundargarh district of Odisha. Wearing her uniform and carrying her child close in a baby carrier, she performs what can only be described as a 'double duty'. She manages traffic on busy roads while tenderly caring for her infant. Her dedication speaks louder than words.

“Earlier, my husband used to help me. However, after his accident, I was forced to carry my child with me during duty hours. The child is very small and needs care and attention,” said Asha.
